Barbie:

Girls will not realise how time flies by with the Barbie Doggie Park Play set. Barbie is gorgeous as usual being dressed in sweet and sassy fashions. She also has helmet and pads for safe skating. A very pretty purple hair brush has also been included.

Dog and Puppy in Barbie Doggie Park Play set

The set and its features:

Barbie is out and about in her funky roller-skaters and takes her dog for a walk. Just place the puppies on Mom dog’s back and the dog walks and at the same time pulls Barbie on her skates. The best part about the momma doggie is that, it really walks and pulls. There is also a small carouse available in which the puppies can have fun. Just touch dog’s mouth to bone and she will push the carousel. The puppies actually activate the dogs walk, which means, the dog walks only when it has its puppies on its back. If you think you and the puppies have had a lot of fun and need some rest, have a great picnic. The pack includes kibble, bones for the doggies and even a treat for Barbie. However, you can have your usual fun with Barbie without the dogs and accessories as her skates are removable.

What we think about it:

It is not an educational toy by any means hence the low rating for educational value – dogs do not really go on picnics or have special doggie swings let us face it but it is fun and kids need fun as much as instruction and you get more bang for your buck than just buying a Barbie on its own. It would have been really great if the Barbie stood upright when the doggie is pulling her, but that is too much to expect from the doll. The brush included in the package is over sized and looks like a dog brush. But since the dog is made out of plastic, we guess it is for Barbie.

Barbie Doggie Park Playset Package

Inside the box:

The package contents of the Barbie doggie park play set include a Barbie doll with elbow pads, knee pads and helmet, 2 roller skates, a brush, a muffin dog, 2 puppies, a carousel, picnic accessories and dog food.

Age:

The Barbie doggie park play set is suitable for kids above the age of three.
Choking Hazard:  This toy has a small ball and so, it is not suitable for kids under the age of three.

Batteries:

The Barbie doggie park play set requires two AAA batteries to work and they are not included in the package.

Warranty:

No warranty is offered by Mattel for this play set, which is very disappointing. Though Mattel and Barbie is a very reliable brand, a warranty would have made things more convincing.

Conclusion:

The Barbie doggie park play set is a great gift for those girls who would like some action with their Barbie and this toy will be an absolute delight. The toy itself is a great value for money and you will surely get the bang for your buck.
